Los Angeles' hit music station KIIS FM hosted it's annual Wango Tango concert this past weekend and it was a good one. Scratch that, a great one! The event celebrated it's 15th year in a big way bringing out some of the biggest names in music. Acts ranging from Maroon 5 and Childish Gambino to Big Sean and The Wanted all came out and thrilled the sold out crowd. Justin Bieber even made an appearance and introduced his protege Carly Rae Jepson to the stage. Wiz Khalifa and J. Cole definitely represented for the hip hop fans while Foster the People and The Wanted had the girls screaming for an encore. The celebrities were out in full force as well, the younger Kardashian sisters were in attendance as well many of the Dancing with the Stars crew.
The night definitely belonged to the headliners though. Nikki Minaj and Pitbull were the highlight acts of a day filled with amazing talent. Donning a fierce wedding dress of some sort, Nikki Minaj had the crowd rapping along to every word of her already impressive catalogue of hits. From "Beez in the Trap" and "Moment for Life" to her current smash hit "Starships" the crowd loved every moment. Topping off the night was Latin superstar Pitbull and his amazing band. The live instruments mixed with the infectious beats and raps from "Mr. Worldwide" made for a perfect final performance. With a set that included radio singles "Calle Ocho," "Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)," and "DJ Got us Falling in Love" Pitbull could do no wrong. To close out the event "Mr. 305" gave the crowd his first #1 song "Give me Everything" and they did just that. From the screaming fans to the glowsticks and beach balls, the arena came alive. The only way to end an amazing day.
